# Trend Ribbon

The trend ribbon consists of 8 EMA moving averages. You can find it in the Million Moves Algo settings under the section *Trend Settings*:

It's a confirmation tool we frequently use in our strategies. Think of it like a rubber band: when the price moves away from the ribbon, it tends to snap back, offering an opportunity to enter at a lower price. The spacing and width of the lines show how strong the trend is. If they're farther apart and wider, the trend is stronger. If they're closer together, the trend might be weakening or changing direction from up to down or vice versa.

{% hint style="info" %}
When the price moves into the ribbons, our approach is to wait for a new positive confirmation before entering a trade. This adds an extra layer of confidence to our trading decisions.
{% endhint %}

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.million-moves.net/start/learn-the-indicators/million-moves-algo/trend-ribbon.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
